Sephora’s Sleeping Masks

Alex Chester

I'm obsessed with sleeping masks.  Especially Sephora's! Not only are they cheap (who doesn't love that?) but they come in 11 different flavors to match exactly what your skin needs. Also, they are never tested on any animals!

At $4.00 each, it's easy to go crazy and mix and match! Plus you can easily get more than one use out of each mask. I can get at least 4 uses out of one! Just make sure it's sealed properly and stored in the fridge.

They are a great way to keep your skin from getting dull in the winter!

Clarisonic Face BrushArgan Oil

Alison Lea Bender

I need to exfoliate a lot in the Winter. Nothing has ever made my skin feel cleaner and more polished than using my Clarisonic brush. I use it on the gentle setting with a mild facial cleanser, then moisturize with Argan oil while my face is still damp. Additionally, the Argan oil helps tame my frizzy mixed hair, and it smells quite nice.

Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Lotion “Maximum”

Autumn Henry

This delicious body lotion is a savior for dry, scaly, itchy, sensitive winter skin!  I have a big bottle on hand all year round but I especially use and recommend it to my clients in the colder months for its stay power and skin softening magic. The highlight of this body lotion is the combo of plant based glycolic and lactic acids that break down and soften dead skin cells so the nourishing team of moisturizers like shea butter and plant seed oils can penetrate and protect the skin much more effectively. I can’t recommend this Alba lotion enough - especially for folks with bumpy texture on their arms, legs and butt (keratosis pilaris).

Trader Joe’s Head-to-Toe Moisturizing Balm

Melissa Slaughter

In the winter, all I want is a one-size fits-all balm. It’s so cold my hands hurt, my lips are chapped, my elbows are ashy, and my purse can only hold so much. I’ve tried a variety of things over the years: petroleum jelly, DIY lotion bars, Lush’s Ultrabalm (which is great, but is also more money than I have.)  So this year I bought Trader Joe’s Balm and it’s a dream. The 2 oz tin cans fit into my purse and it’s perfect for the windy winter days when the air seems to be sucking all the moisture out of my pores.

100% Pure - Tea Tree & Willow Clarifying Cleanser

Naomi Takata Shepherd

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve recently had a bout of less than desirable acne that I’m going to blame on the change in seasons. Luckily for me, I got my hands on 100% Pure’s new Tea Tree & Willow Clarifying Cleanser, which is gentle enough to use even in cold weather, but powerful enough to clear up my latest breakouts and prevent even more from starting. The formula uses plant-based ingredients that are naturally sulfurous and anti-bacterial, and to top it off, it’s certified organic and vegan.

Coconut Oil

Rebecca Lee Lerman

It's non-greasy, moisturizing, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial. I have a mild case of eczema and coconut oil helps relieve the itchiness and redness. It leaves my skin silky smooth and soft. Perfect for dry, damaged skin from the cold. Living on the ship, I have also been using it on my hair. The ship's water is bleached and it has been leaving my hair a lot more dry than usual. Coconut oil helps to maintain the moisture, shine, and softness.

Hand Cream - Nature Republic

Sam Tanabe

Thank you, Korea, for your multitude of skincare products. Hand cream is essential in the winter, especially when it gets windy. Thankfully Nature Republic has a variety of hand cream scents to choose from. Yuzu, Green Tea, Apple Mango, Jasmine, Moringa, and more. I’m sick of plain creams that smell like baby powder. My favorite is the Yuzu because the bright citrus scent warms my soul while I endure my least favorite thing in the world... being cold.
