What makes you Hapa?
My mixed Chinese/caucasian heritage makes me Hapa! My family hails from both Taiwanese and Texan culture.
What kind of art do you create?
I create greeting cards for theatre people.
How long have you been an artist/creator?
I've been a lifelong performing artist, but I've been officially creating Cheers cards ever since this past September!
What's your favorite gift you've ever received or given?
In second grade, my sole Christmas wish was a trash can. I woke up on Christmas morning, and there was a brand new trash can sitting in the middle of my room, and I was so happy I cried.
What are your favorite holiday traditions?
I love wrapping gifts. There's something satisfying about folding and taping the wrapping paper just right. For me, it's a quiet and methodical ritual.
What are your favorite pieces of your work?
I especially favor my card design that says "A note for you. (The good kind.)"
